Our CEO started his career in marketing at Mrs Baird’s Bakeries in Fort Worth, working closely with the product management and finance departments in supporting retail promotions and analyzing their profitability. He left Mrs Baird’s and started his own advertising agency in 1998. Since then, Doug has grown Warren Douglas into a multi-million dollar entity with 30+ employees and clients in a wide range of industries, including consumer goods, finance, healthcare, energy, education, technology, and a host of others. A native Texan, Doug holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Michigan State University. He is an accomplished pianist and composer, serves as a deacon in his church, and enjoys living in Fort Worth with his wife and their four children.
What do you get when you cross a spreadsheet ninja with a crazed, drumstick-wielding percussionist? Well, we’re not sure, but it would probably look a lot like our own VP of Innovation, Scott Parker. After circling the world as an orchestral drummer, Scott heard a new beat that marched him into the big, bad world of business and marketing. Armed with degrees in economics, music, and arts administration, he now orchestrates beautiful strategies on behalf of a plethora of clients, from TXU Energy and Essilor to Wright® Brand Bacon and BRIANNAS Salad Dressings. When he's not arranging new opportunities for clients, Scott's other passions are his family and the Memphis Tigers. But what we really admire about Scott is his talent for leading clients to exciting new strategic revelations that translate into increased business and sales.
Our VP/Creative Director loves advertising, and has worked at a lot of different places for an enviable variety of clients (which translates into all kinds of relevant industry insight and experience for you). Steve's been at big shops like JWT and Ketchum, as well as boutique shops, and has worked on brands like Proctor & Gamble, Sara Lee, Shell Oil and Dairy Queen, to name drop just a few. He's even done a couple of stints on the client side, crafting creative work for retailers Pier 1 Imports and RadioShack. Steve's specialty is quickly uncovering the essence of the marketing challenge at hand and translating it into highly creative executions that drive results. He went to the University of Oklahoma, and he loves motorcycles and fast cars almost as much as his Boomer Sooner bottle opener.
Our VP of Brand Strategy joined WD in December 2010 after many years spent eating toaster waffles, selling hamburgers, playing video games, kicking tires, capturing memories and pretending to be a soldier. Her commitment to the consumer point of view led her through recognized agencies such as Leo Burnett, Grey, Publicis and Deutsch (as well as some smaller shops), strategizing for such brands as Eggo, McDonald’s, Nintendo, Continental Tire, the destination of San Antonio, and USAA financial services. Dana’s strength lies in finding effective business-building strategies, regardless of budget. She graduated with honors from the University of Virginia, and earned an MBA with top honors from Thunderbird.
Our VP of Integrated Media knows all too well that advertising is as much about when and where you place your ad as what it says. Jenny is a master at finding just the right fit for the right message at the right time. She has more than a decade of media planning/buying expertise under her oh-so-chic belt, and her many client success stories include work for Nationwide, American Airlines and Popeye’s Chicken, among others. A dance teacher for 11 years, Jenny’s husband and two girls will attest she is just as quick on her feet at home as she is on the job.
Our Associate Creative Director, David blends the talent of an artistic savant and the expertise of a TCU MBA into an exceptional creative insight and design package. A multiple winner of the prestigious Best in Show Addy Award, he is an integral part of the creative strategy developed for each of our clients. In addition to his contributions at Warren Douglas, David has returned to his alma mater as an adjunct professor, teaching Corporate Identity for TCU’s Department of Graphic Design. A native Californian, he designed for Pier 1 Imports before joining Warren Douglas in 2002. David and his wife Bekah are the proud parents of three children and have learned to love and embrace the chaos of a full house.
Our Director of Brand Strategy, Lauren Gourley, is all about measurable results: from determining the best future indicators of a brand’s success, to strategizing on plans to exceed targeted benchmarks. Whether offering her intuitive take on research data, business development or social media engagement, Lauren stays on top of every detail from soup to nuts – ensuring productive campaigns and maximized investment for our clients and our agency. A graduate of Oklahoma City University, Lauren joined the WD in 2007.
As our Director of Account Services, Angela does double duty managing both the account executives who serve our clients, and her own roster of client accounts. Her attention to detail and determined demeanor serve her well as our resident traffic cop, charged with ensuring our clients’ projects are being marshalled effectively through each of the agency’s various departments. An experienced fundraiser, she simultaneously seeks to safeguard the efficient use of clients’ time and budget. She joined the WD team in May 2013.
After graduating from Texas State University, Rene started her Public Relations career working in the healthcare, energy, banking, and real estate industries. Searching for a greater challenge, she joined one of the top five global public relations firms, where she represented clients like Verizon Wireless, Coors, SC Johnson, Breyer’s and McDonalds. Rene's expertise includes media relations, crisis communications, community relations, social media management, and event planning, to name just a few. Rene joined Warren Douglas in April 2015.
Our aptly named Cassidy Newton comes equipped with a Ph.D. in Physics and an MBA. Cassidy’s love for all things numeric adds up to keen strategic insight on the volumes of marketing data that's so critical to our clients, but often so daunting to decipher. She is a dedicated (and we mean dedicated) TCU football fan, and her equal ability to converse in depth on the mysteries of the space/time continuum just adds to her charm! Cassidy joined the team in July of 2012.
Everyone together – "Good morning, Ms. Brookshear!" Pam is WD’s new executive assistant to the CEO, Doug Briley. She spent 16 years teaching in local school districts, and became a teacher and headmaster at Covenant Classical School, where she met the Briley family. Pam is never short on her desire to help others and to make sure everyone in the office has a smile on their face.
